Significance of Concrete Integrity in Pile Foundation:A Comprehensive Review

Abstract


Concrete integrity plays a vital role in the performance, durability, and safety of various structural applications. This comprehensive review examines the importance of concrete integrity and its implications on the piles through three different methods, as in modern day structures, pile foundations are widely used hence defects in pile will lead to problems to overall structural integrity. Concrete integrity is essential for ensuring the structural stability and load-bearing capacity of buildings, bridges, dams, and other infrastructure. Any compromise in concrete integrity can lead to a range of issues, including reduced structural strength, increased susceptibility to cracking, deterioration due to environmental factors, and diminished service life. If problems with pile concrete is known, remedies can be provided and service life of any structure can be assured.
