Time and Cost Overrun Factors in Building Construction Projects in India

Abstract


The construction project is one of the most important and significant sectors for financial development and progress. Achievement of any construction project depends on the timely completion of project within the defined budget. Delay and value overruns are big problem in the construction industry which must be taken care of for a time and price effective projects. These failures can result in various kinds of negative affections like dispute between contractor and client, decreased efficiency of work and health and safety incidents. As a result, further research into the issues that cause delays and price overruns is critical. This study will explore the time and cost execution in development projects in order to detect the reasons for time and cost overwhelm. The objectives of this paper are going to be achieved through quantitative approach where a legitimate questionnaire is going to be distributed online to construction stakeholders specifically owner, consultant, contractors and project management companies in India. The outcomes from the overview will show that the preeminent elements causing time deferral and cost overwhelms in development projects according to viewpoint of significance.
