Predictive Evaluation of Erema Community Groundwater in Egi for the Purpose of Agricultural Use

C. Ukpaka

Abstract

The investigation in this research is to study the developed sodium absorption ratio model for predicting and monitoring SAR concentration of Erema community groundwater by Ukpaka, 2016 given as, SAR = – + with coefficient of determination of that is modified in this research as + = 0 which is now the modified differential equation of sodium absorption ratio for Erema community it fitness in assessing SAR concentration. Validation of results were carried out using ANOVA method, the computed value of F-ratio is 1.33 which is less than the critical value (5%) of value of 5.32 with d.f. being = 1 and = 8 and hence difference in values of SAR could have risen due to chance. Therefore, the difference between the calculate experimental model and finite element approach values of SAR obtained for the five weeks is insignificant so the modified differential equation for Erema community for monitoring sodium absorption ratio is a valid equation. The modified differential equation for Erema community can be used to monitor and simulate SAR concentration for Erema community groundwater bearing aquifer and the values obtained for sodium absorption ratio due experimental model and finite element approach is within acceptable limit for irrigation water supply.
