Study on Rural Infrastructure availability and wellbeing in Karisalkulam Village

Abstract


Rural development is the process of developing rural areas through improving the quality of living for rural people. Development not only means technology and education but also gaining and accepting ability of culture to adopt the new era to compete with the outer world. The planning and strategies for rural development are mainly concerned with Gram Panchyats, schools, higher educational institutes, industries and labor needs. The aim of this study is to analyze the current situation in the rural study area, to address the reason that hinders the development in the area under study  and to formulate strategies for the improvement of life of people in a ways to provide  employability, transportation facilities, energy requirements, water supply, sanitation, health care services and public awareness for the people. The government policies, strategies and planning process play a significant role in rural development. Rural areas need improvement in non-farming sectors as drought and water scarcity are in hike now a days. Rural infrastructure is not just temporary process but it is a life time cycle of providing facilities and services to rural people for sustainable development. Rural India have different perspectives than urban, growth happens automatically in urban areas where as in rural areas initiatives and policies are required for development. Hence the major objective of this paper in the ways of rural development is to understand the ground level basic issues in the study area, to resolve them according to the situations present and to find the approaches and ways to resolve the current issues that hinders their development.
